リサイクルしたガラス キャップンコップ
A recycled glass cup with a contemporary design from Chiba Prefecture.
Introducing the CAPNKOP, a versatile glass cup made in Tokyo that is designed with a cap to cover its mouth, as suggested in its playful name. It’s unusual shape, with a subtle bulge in the glass that acts as a stopper when the cap is on, is designed to resemble a bamboo stalk and gives its two parts a satisfying fit. Its modern look is understated enough to complement any interior. As well as functioning as a drinking glass, the CAPNKOP is versatile enough to act as a container for small items or to store snacks or sweets. Its colour comes from the unpredictable variations and colour patterns of recycled coloured glass fragments that are mixed together to create this beautiful item.
Dishwasher safe.

Tōhoku consists of six prefectures located in the north-east of Honshu island. This region is known for its hot spring (onsen) resorts, colourful festivals, remote sacred mountains and harsh winters. In 2011, the devastating earthquake and tsunami hit the region hard; however, the massive efforts in reconstruction are proof of the people’s resilience. Urushi (lacquer) ware, ironware and the crafting of kokeshi dolls make up but a few of the local industries in this lesser-visited region of Japan.
