Designed by renowned artist and designer Igarashi Takenobu this stainless steel bottle opener is produced by Tsubame Shinko Industrial Co Ltd, a longstanding cutlery company in Tsubame City, Niigata Prefecture.
The distinct design of the bottle opener consists of a thin stainless-steel sheet, with a mirror-polished finish, cut in a circular form that accommodates a strong grip for effortless bottle opening. It takes 40 steps to craft the bottle opener, combining both hand and machine-led processes. It has recieved the Good Design Award and the iF Design Award.
