A high-quality stainless steel strainer from Niigata Prefecture, designed for optimal functionality.
Produced in Tsubame-Sanjo, Niigata Prefecture, an area of Japan known for its high-quality metalware production, this strainer was designed by Yanagi Sōri (1915-2011), one of Japan’s most influential industrial designers. Demonstrating the acclaimed characteristics of his design approach, this strainer is simple and elegant in appearance, focusing on functionality and efficiency in all details. The holes are punch pressed into the strainer and designed to have less contact surface producing optimal drainage.
