Goshiki was founded in Tokyo in 1911 by doll maker Hara Beishū, whose exceptional craftsmanship was recognized as an 'Intangible Cultural Property' in 1966. His highly acclaimed skills and dedicated approach to doll making have been carried forward by subsequent generations of Goshiki. While cherishing the inherited traditions and techniques of the founder, they strive to push the boundaries of doll making through innovation, new technologies, and a genuine commitment to their craft.
