Haibara

榛原

Haibara is a paper specialist company founded in 1806 in Edo (present-day Tokyo). The company's high quality, strong, smooth-textured washi (Japanese paper) has long been held in high esteem by writers and artists, including calligraphers, ukiyo-e painters and woodblock printers. Haibara’s chiyogami (printed washi) is often printed with a familiar range of designs and themes that have been appreciated in Japan, for their aesthetic and symbolic qualities, for centuries.
